Themfaire happened yesterday (at time of publish) and I am dog tired!
This inaugural market went extremely well for me and I am so thankful to all of the folks who came to see me and the hosts (shoutouts & links to all these magical folks below).
On the spiritual side, I spent most of the event offering Placticas. For this environment, offering a deeply-personal ceremony like a plactica can be tricky. Traditionally, they’re intense ceremonial counseling focused on self-progression. Usually, I offer them as a 1:1 service, very private, and intentionally slow-paced.
Obviously, that’s not possible for a busy market environment.
Regardless, a plactica is a 2-step process. A preliminary investigation, consulting my client’s good spirits for clarity on their situation and needs. Most commonly, that looks like a venting session for the client with some spirit interjections to help guide the process. Based on the reading and advice given, spiritual tools are intuitively selected to address the client’s situation. There are infinite ways to perform a limpia, so tool selection becomes a process of discernment and specialty for most brujos.
The most common ally at Themfaire was mint (yerbabuena/spearmint). Not a shock, in barridas it’s a powerful cleanser with an aptitude for clearing the cobwebs around out minds and hearts. Smelling nice and stimulating mental clarity is a bonus as far as I’m concerned .😂
I noticed a common theme in my client’s needs. Everyone shared a feeling of loss. Some felt as if they lost their path, others lost jobs, and some even lost themselves.
To address that commonality, My guides (Specifically Don Pedro) advised creating a radius of protections at the end of each session. Using the rattling of dried leaves to call back missing or expended energy while entrusting the spirit of the rose to filter out what is no longer aligned.
An unexpected hit was Mini Mamas. A mini version of my Meeting with Mother offering.
I have gotten so many Dm’s about how accurate and powerful the readings were— it’s so humbling & gratifying.
I also laughed every time because I have literally no idea of what any of them say. A frequent occurrence when I channel spirit messages.
